Day 9: 2018-08-10 to 26 Montenegro, Bonsia, Croatia, Solvenia, Turkey Tour

Day 9: 18.08. Full day in Logar. Breakfast and morning scenery drive in the Solčava Panoramic Road. 

Hike 2 hours with return to the cave which locate almost at the top of the mountain. The track is steep and across the country to Austria. 

After visiting cave, hike down and lunch in the mountain. 


Another hike with 1.5 hours return to the Rinka Fall in the afternoon. 

Take postcard picture near to the car entrance of the Valley. 

Early dinner in the small town. Stay at Gradisnik. Logar Valley is beautiful and peaceful. 


End of Day 9.

Day 8: 17.08. Spectacular sunrise landscape in Plitvice.

Breakfast and check out. Drive to Slovenia and Logar valley, rest. Traffic jam for 2 hours across the border. Crowed with cars cars of western European countries such as Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France etc. 

Overnight at Gradisnik, a wonderful mountaintop ranch. 2 nights B - 2 quad apartments. 

Soup prepared by the host is delicious.  

End of day 8.

Day 7: 2018-08-10 to 26 Montenegro, Bonsia, Croatia, Solvenia, Turkey Tour

Day 7: 16.08. Landscape photography at sunrise. 

Breakfast. Full day in Plitvice lakes for track, explore and rest till dark. 

Extremely overcrowded and exhausted.

Day 6: 15.08. Walk across the pier to the castle at sunrise.  

See church procession after breakfast in the pretty small Island. 

Check out and short drive to Split for tour with local guide, Mario. 

Drive to Plitvice with a look of the Krka Nature Park. 

Overnight in Plitvice – Vila Knezevic - 2 nights BB - 2xquad rooms. Play football with foreign youngster.  End of Day 6.

Day 5: 2018-08-10 to 26 Montenegro, Bonsia, Croatia, Solvenia, Turkey Tour

Day 5: 14.08. Get up before sunrise and wander around of the clam little town at this golden moment. Take breakfast and check out. 

Drive to Mostar and short tour of the city where is overcrowded and unpleasant to me. 

Lunch over there and sorry to miss visiting the Blagaj Monastery. On the way to Trogir (Croatia), quick visit to Kravice waterfall. 

Overnight at Trogir where is a lovely Island.  Wonderful experience by sleeping at the centre of old town. 

End of Day 5.

Day 4: 2018-08-10 to 26 Montenegro, Bonsia, Croatia, Solvenia, Turkey Tour

Day 4: 13.08. Breakfast and follow by a cross border drive to Dubrovnik of Croatia. Marco is our local tour guide of this old city. 

After the tour, visit the mountain top by cable car.  

By 3:30pm, drive back to Bonsia. Visit the Hercegovačka Gračanica, a Serbian Orthodox monastery located on the historic Crkvina Hill of Trebinje where overlook the town. 

Dinner in this lovely clam town - Trebinje. End of Day 4.

Day 3: 2018-08-10 to 26 Montenegro, Bonsia, Croatia, Solvenia, Turkey Tour

12.08.  Early wake up for photography with frog and sunrise.

Take another traditional breakfast and check out. 









Drive through National park Durmitor, the landscape is stunning. 

Stop at the bridge over 50m to see the Piva river. Around noon, across the border to Bosnia and Herzegovina, can’t see the Piva/Tara confluence as it is shaded by trees. Lunch at Bonsia restaurant with first taste of fruit and flower drinks (raspberry, tiny strawberry, mixed and elder flower) that are healthy and lovely. 

After lunch, visit the Tjentiste War Memorial which was constructed to remember the tragic loss of life and Nazi failure to capture the Yugoslav forces in World War II but failed. Over 7,000 people were killed and mostly just citizens who could not escape with the majority of the Yugoslavian military forces.

Head on to visit the Sutjeska canyon, and south to Trebinje, a quiet little town. Arrive Trebinje at 5pm, go out for a walk to the old bridge. Stay there for 2 nights – vila Marija BB - 2 x quad studios, Bosnia.

Day 2 - 11 August 2019
Early wake up due to Jet Lag. Go out for a walk and see many people jog and walk to the Black Lake entrance. 

Back to Apartment to enjoy the traditional breakfast of Montenegro which is awesome. 

Take the remain for picnic. 

After breakfast, take Black lake track (5km), very hot under Sun (probably 38-40C), stops at various viewpoints and go back to rest. 



After picnic, go to the mountain top to view the whole canyon.

In the evening, visit Apartmen Restorn Durmitor again for Birthday dinner. 

Overnight Zabljak for timelapse shots again. 

Day 1 : 2018-08-10 to 26 Montenegro, Bonsia, Croatia, Solvenia, Turkey Tour

Day 1: 9-10.08.2019
Departing HK at 11pm, 9 August, 2019, transfer in Istanbul.


Morning arrival (around 9pm) at Montenegro airport at Podgorica, short drive to Skadar Lake and take the 2 hours boat ride. 


Drive North through Moraca river canyon, followed by drive through Tara river canyon to Zabljak. 


Having stops on the way at Moraca monastery, skip the Biograd Lake as not enough time.


Short visiting at Tara canyon bridge. 


Overnight at Zabljak and stay here for 2 nights. Sleep at Apartment Sara Bed & Breakfast with 2 x two bedroom apartments. Dinner at Apartmen Restorn Durmitor. 


In Zabljak. At night, take the time lapse pictures but cloudy. End of Day 1.
